Winter shouldn't automatically mean less outdoor exercise, but granted there are less things to do. In spite of that, a simple outdoors walk in the winter can do wonders to keep your cardio up and outlook bright!

There are really only a few days during a typical winter season where it may be too cold to walk outside. Once you get moving, your own body heat will keep you comfortable and, well busy walking. Have a good set of well-heeled and warm gloves, hat and jacket.

Taking a short drive to go for walk in the winter is also a good solution because you can get to some more scenic areas in your city, and you will probably enjoy your winter walk even more.

Outdoors, the crisp cold air replenishes your lungs and brings color to your cheeks and all that walking can get rid of the calories that pile up. Knowing all these would you still prefer to while away your free time indoors when you can do something fun and healthy during winter time? Another great exercise tool to have is a heart rate monitor.
